WE PERSONALLY INTERVIEW and vet ALL of OUR TRAVELLING NANNIES.
We have an informal interview with every prospective nanny for our Agency, to ascertain whether they have the kind of experience/personality and adaptability we are looking for. We ask for all original documents (DBS, Passport, First Aid Certificate, and any certificates related to childcare). We build each Nanny a personalised profile including all of their information, experience and checked references- these are then sent to families as the first introduction to a Nanny.
We only register nannies with My Travelling Nanny who we would be happy to look after our own children.
WE RESPOND QUICKLY WITH POSSIBLE MATCHES
We then help organise a Video Call/Interview/ Informal Meeting with the chosen Nanny/Nannies.
We recommend that the prospective Travelling Nanny goes to meet the family or takes on a paid trial. The family can use the opportunity to see how the Nanny interacts with their children, and if they feel the Holiday Nanny would fit in well. The details of the holiday can be discussed, as well as approximate hours, it is also an opportunity for the nanny to see if he/she would be good fit for the family.
BOOKING IS PAINLESS AND SIMPLE
When a booking is confirmed by the family, we email out a link to our online Booking Form. When this is submitted, the invoice for our Agency Fee is sent out and the booking is confirmed.
WE MAKE EVERYTHING AS EASY AS POSSIBLE FOR THE FAMILY
We provide a template for an Agreement for the family to use to confirm all details with the nanny, so that everything is clear.
FAQ's
Holiday placements can be for any length of time. The approximate number of daily/weekly hours are discussed and agreed between the family and the nanny at interview.
Time off should be agreed between the family and the nanny.
Regarding working hours for the nanny, we suggest that a minimum number of hours is agreed per day/per week/over the placement duration, on the basis that the nanny will work more if needed. Or if you wish, you can agree a set number of hours per day, and the number of evenings babysitting. Timings can be firmed up nearer the time.
NB : Travelling Nannies are happy to be flexible as plans on holiday may change due to bad weather or other circumstances.
