Our impressions at interview:

Lucy is instantly likeable and is clearly enthusiastic, experienced and competent in the realm of childcare. She would be a welcome addition to any holiday!

What Lucy says about herself:

I am currently on placement at an academy in Plymouth, working with a reception class (since September-December 5th).  Last year I was based in a year 2 class in Plymouth from October-December. In June I taught in an international school in Shanghai for a week, working with reception and year 1 age.

I am a Qualified Nanny, having completed my 2 year diploma followed by work as a nanny and in nurseries. In Spring/Summer 2011 I worked in France and Greece as a Mark Warner Nanny.

I am resourceful and able to adapt to any situation. I appreciate children may feel initially uneasy with an unfamiliar face so I am used to putting them at their ease. Working for Mark Warner as a holiday nanny meant I worked with new children every week, helping them settle in and have a good holiday themselves.

I am reliable and trustworthy. I appreciate the value of good communication so I liaise with the parents closely to ensure I have understood their wishes and provide them with the best possible service for them and their children. I am friendly with a good sense of humour, and enjoy being active in my work with children.

I am a very confident skier, and I have also been trained in basic Makaton.  I love indoor play such as cooking and painting, as well as outdoor play.

Holiday Nanny Placements:

My Travelling Nanny : 22nd - 29th March 2015

Lucy has been booked for a holiday nannying placement in Italy with a group of families holidaying and skiing together.  She will be working as a team with another nanny, looking after 5 little ones from 9 month -2 years.

 My Travelling Nanny : 27th December 2014 – 117th January 2015 : Granada (looking after a little girl aged 2).

“Lucy came with us for two weeks in Grenada and was a loving and fun nanny to our 2.5 year old daughter. Lucy’s education and character make her an excellent holiday nanny – she is hugely caring, devoted to supporting a child’s development through play and communication, and understands parents’ needs. She was very helpful on the practical front too in terms of cooking fresh food for our daughter as well as ensuring her safety and happiness at all times”.  Eva : 2nd February 2014

My Travelling Nanny : 20th March – 6th April 2014.  Placement in France, helping with three girls aged 5,4 and 1.

Lucy was fantastic.  From the first second, she was brilliant at getting the children out from under foot so that we could unpack and get settled.  All 3 girls took to Lucy like I have never seen before.  She was a delight to have around and nothing was ever too much trouble.  She was utterly brilliant and wouldn't hesitate to take her with us again.  I can't rate her highly enough”  Katy : 8th April 2014

My Travelling Nanny : 16th – 23rd August 2013

Lucy did a one week travelling nannying placement with a family in Spain, with 2 children aged 3, 4 and 14. This family are hoping to book her again for their next holiday.

"Lucy is a fantastic experienced Nanny, our 3 children all really liked her and she knew they  what they would all like doing and planned accordingly. I would recommend Lucy as she fitted in well with our family and was a joy to have around"
